Add a little water

Does it remove sunscreen and waterproof eye makeup?
Yes. The balm dissolves sunscreen, long-wear foundation, lipstick and waterproof mascara. Massage gently onto dry skin, keeping your eyes closed when removing eye makeup and avoiding direct contact with your eyes. Add a little water until the balm turns milky, then rinse thoroughly with plenty of water. The same cleansing step works on days when you wear sunscreen without makeup.
Should I use it on dry skin, and how do I rinse it off?
Start with dry hands and a dry face. Massage the balm over makeup and sunscreen for about 30 seconds so it melts into oil and dissolves them. Then wet your fingertips and massage in a little water until the oil turns milky. Finish by rinsing thoroughly with plenty of water. Emulsifying before the final rinse removes the balm without a heavy oily film.
Do I need to use a second cleanser?
A second cleanser is optional. The balm removes makeup and cleanses as it emulsifies and rinses away. Follow with a water-based cleanser if you prefer a double-cleansing routine.
Is it suitable for sensitive and dry skin?
Yes. The balm is suitable for sensitive and dry skin. Oat kernel oil, squalane and hazelnut seed oil help leave skin feeling soft and comfortable after cleansing. Massage gently onto dry skin, add water to emulsify, then rinse thoroughly.
How much balm should I use?
For light makeup, start with about one spatula scoop. Use more for heavier makeup, adjusting to your coverage and face size. For the travel pods, start with about half a 3 mL pod for everyday makeup or one pod for heavier coverage. These are starting amounts, not fixed doses.
How long does a jar last?
With typical makeup-removal use, the 100 mL jar lasts approximately 2–3 months and the 50 mL mini approximately one month. The amount you use, makeup coverage and cleansing frequency determine the actual duration. Travel pods are portioned by volume, so ten pods are not a fixed ten-use supply.
Can I buy a refill without another full-size jar?
Yes. Choose the 100 mL Refill Only option if you already have the compatible ddg 100 mL outer jar. It contains a replacement insert, without an outer jar or magnetic spatula. When your jar is empty, remove the used insert, fit the new one and keep the outer jar, lid and spatula. The 100 mL insert does not fit the 50 mL mini.
How should I store the balm and keep it dry?
Keep the jar closed and dry, away from excessive heat. Take out the balm with a clean, dry spatula and keep water out of the container. Add water only after massaging the balm onto your face, rather than into the jar.
What is the difference between formula 3.0 and formula 2.0?
Formula 3.0 updates the makeup-dissolving oil blend, uses MagTech emulsification and adds OATRA soothing care. Formula 2.0 is the previous formula and remains available. Both versions have a separate full ingredient list in Ingredients above. Check the ingredient list on your product packaging to identify the formula supplied; the 3.0 technology descriptions apply to formula 3.0.
